In Exodus 7:1-14 God has called Moses and Aaron to SPEAK & TELL Pharaoh to set His people free from bondage. God also says that He will cause Moses to be LIKE GOD to Pharaoh, while Aaron will be Moses’ Prophet who speaks God’s Word. In the New Testament there is a direct parallel for the followers of Jesus, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News of the Gospel” as well as, “Put on the Lord Jesus Christ.” God’s people are given God’s Word in order to Speak & Tell, while at the same time bearing the Image of their Lord.
In addition to going before one of the world’s most powerful leaders at the time, Moses & Aaron are told that Pharaoh will NOT Listen. (Wow, that’s encouraging!) But Moses and Aaron are told to go anyway & perform the miracle of the staff turning into a serpeant. Moses & Aaron reveal who they serve by Obeying exactly what the Lord had told them. Then just as God had said, “Pharaoh’s Heart was Hard & he would NOT Listen.” The Parallel in the New Testament book of Acts is revealed when Jesus is preached & miracles are performed in the Name of Jesus by the apostles, but the religious leaders of the Jews Refuse to Listen, & they lock up the apostles in the public prison. Notice, God’s people are left under human bondage for a time before they are truly set free by God’s Power.
What amazes me is that our Lord is not expecting His servants to go out to change other people. What God desires is for His servants to represent Him by Speaking & Telling His Words, while also being like God in a world that does NOT Desire to Listen. God is always the One to do the Mighty & the Miraculous change within others.
I want to encourage you today as a follower of Jesus Christ to obey what God speaks to you thru His Word & thru His Holy Spirit. In Obedience, Put on the Lord Jesus Christ as you go out to Speak & Tell others about God’s Plan of Salvation that Sets People Free Sins Bondage.
Remember, God is the One who changes Hearts & Minds, not His servants. God’s servants are to faithfully Obey while expecting God to do the Miraculous Change within a human heart.
God’s servants are successful when ………they SERVE their MASTER IN BOTH WORD & DEED WHILE BEING HIS IMAGE BEARER
